Why HDi?

What Features are important when evaluating a Pump System?
Feature What it does Why it's important
Neutral Position When PTO is engaged - Zero flow, Zero pressure Prevents over-pressurization and failure of Kamlocks & hoses in case of a closed valve or other problem
Relief Valve Protection in both Directions of flow Allows product to ciruclate internally if critical pressure is encoutnered Prevents over-pressurization and failure of Kamlocks & hoses in case of a closed valve or other problem
Variable Flow Control System can easily operate at any flow rate between Zero GPM and the system's maximum GPM Allows driver to verify connections before moving to maxiumum flow rate. Prevents over-pressurization and enables loading into tanks or vessels with small diameter piping
Instantly Reversible Flow Product flow can be easily and quickly reversed Allows product to be pumped back on to truck in the event of a problem. Enables driver to clear all product from transport hoses
Tactile Feedback Driver can “feel” problems such as closed valves through the handle of the pump system Enables driver to move to Neutral Position and correct the problem before there is a spill or accident
Zero RetainTM Allows the draining of residual product (retain) from all piping, hoses & pump cavity Eliminates cross-contamination of sensitive products, such as synthetic oils, ULSD, biodiesel and AvGas. Allows driver to 'prove' that the system is empty
Driver-accessible Strainer Strainer is accessible from the curbside of the vehicle and can be removed for cleaning without any tools Strainers keep rocks, nuts & bolts, spill pads and other debris from damaging the pump. Clogged strainers reduce pump efficiency and cause pump cavitation
Interchangeable Parts Pump system components and optional fittings & hardware are standarized and manufactured in a controlled environment making them totally interchangeable Interchangeable parts make installation and repairs less expensive. If a component gets damaged, simply replace it. A wide range of configurations are possible without custom fabrication of parts
Install with No Welding or Drilling System can be installed on the vehicle without drilling holes in the truck frame or welding custom fabricated piping and components Pump installation and down-time are dramatically reduced. Risk of weakening frame rails is eliminated. Installer alternatives are greatly expanded
