Dave Palmer, Co-Founder & President
David Palmer brings over 20 years of experience from the transportation industry, both in sales and management, specializing in bulk materials handling. Dave developed, manufactured and designed the patented, Safety Pumping System, which has revolutionized the handling of petroleum with over the road fuel transportation and delivery.

Dave was President of PVB, Inc. which designed and manufactured petroleum pumping systems catering to the petroleum fleets on the west coast, and in bulk pneumatic conveying systems, and related petroleum equipment.

Prior to founding PVB, Dave was the Plant Superintendent for Clough Trailers/Wantz Equipment, a petroleum tank manufacturer. Under Dave’s leadership the facility achieved certification as an ASME “U” stamped manufacturer. While at Clough, Dave recognized the need for change in the way tanker systems are plumbed.

As Sales Manager for Thompson Tank, Dave managed a seven state territory, specializing in the vacuum tanker industry and earned his certification as an ASME facility inspector. Dave developed the sales and system design for pneumatic conveying applications for bulk cement, silica sand, sugar and flour. Sales of products based on Dave’s designs enabled Thompson Tank to become the largest volume DRUM distributor in the Nation.

Dale Sheets, Co-Fouinder & Chief Operating Officer
Dale Sheets brings more than 20 years of technology and start-up experience to HDI. As co-founder of StoneFly Networks, Inc. (StoneFly) in 2000, Dale developed the strategic vision and raised over $34M of venture capital financing, enabling the Company to establish itself as a leader in the emerging market of data protection and disaster recovery solutions delivered over Internet Protocol (IP) Storage Area Networks (SAN).

Prior to StoneFly, Dale served as President and CEO of Quantum Magnetics, Inc. Dale successfully reshaped the Company’s strategy and turned losses into profits, leading Quantum Magnetics through a successful acquisition by InVision Technologies, later acquired by General Electric.

Prior to his post at Quantum Magnetics, Dale served as Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing for then start-up, Pacific Data Products. Under his leadership, unit sales volumes increased from 300 per month to more than 30,000 per month, enabling the company to grow to $70 million in sales in four years. The company was acquired by Digital Communications Associates, a public company, for approximately $90 million in cash and stock. Dale began his career at Raytheon Company and later Emulex Corporation.

Dale holds a bachelor of science, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University's School of Management and a master's of business administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University.
